Jodel is a location-based anonymous mobile app providing a real time newsfeed of your area. With nearly 1 million users in Germany, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland we’re spreading fast across universities throughout Europe to eventually enable local communication worldwide.

Become a Jodler and join the team as our new DevOps Engineer! You will have a crucial role in creating an innovative content platform currently aimed at university students. Get creative and work with a young and experienced team in the epicenter of Europe’s startup scene, Berlin.

YOUR PROFILE:

• You have advanced experience with Linux, networking and application deployments in the cloud (AWS or comparable)
• You know how to code (Javascript, Python or Go)
• You know how to work keep a service available and fast while growing
• You are passionate about the concept of infrastructure as code
• You know how to monitor services and find problems within the infrastructure
• You know how to manage database clusters (preferably NoSQL)
• You can communicate properly in English, best case in German as well
• You think analytically and feel confident making decisions
